Sierra de Barbedillo 50% Iberian shoulder comes from grass- and grain-fed animals raised in the oak forests of south-west Spain.
The animals seek out flowers, roots and herbs to eat, as well as cereals. All this in an ecosystem unique in Europe. Over a million hectares of meadows and forests. Holm oaks, cork oaks, oaks and other plant species populate the landscape.
The area's microclimate is ideal for breeding Iberian pigs and also for maturing. With a very dry climate, the pieces age naturally in the cellars. No mechanical means are used.
The result is a shoulder with exceptional flavor and excellent value for money.
