Very good organic Iberian bellota sausage sliced from 100% Iberian pigs raised freely in the oak forests of the Extremadura area in southern Spain.
Extremadura is the cradle of Iberian ham with huge expanses of forest where each pig has at least one hectare to itself to feed on acorns. This means that 100 pigs will have at least 100 hectares to roam and eat acorns, roots and grass.
The amount of acorns that each pig eats will be 8-10 kg per day. This gives an excellent taste to hams, loin, chorizo and sausage.
In the case of organic sausage, the oak fields where the animals are raised are certified organic and guaranteed to be free of pesticides, treatments and GMOs.
