Señorío de Montanera Iberian sausage is made from lean ham, shoulder and other carefully selected extra-lean cuts from 100% acorn-fed Iberian pigs. Seasoning includes ground black pepper and grated nutmeg. The proportions of the various ingredients have been chosen from the best traditional cured meats, handcrafted and preserved as one of Señorío de Montanera's main treasures.
When cut, the Iberian sausage has a pronounced purple-red color, dotted with reddish white. Its finesse and artisanal production give it a freshly cured aroma and a blend of nuances specific to the spices used. Its traditional flavor is reminiscent of the best Extremadura family preparations.
On the palate, it has a meaty, unctuous texture, the result of blending ham and shoulder with an explosion of black pepper and nutmeg. Its juiciness is extraordinary, leaving a sensation similar to that of acorn-fed Iberian shoulder, as this is one of the predominant ingredients in its production.
